Gas turbines are often used as prime movers for PM generators to produce clean electrical power over a broad speed range. Calnetix has designed a variety of solutions combining gas turbines and PM generators ranging from small compact solutions, like auxiliary power units (APU) for today’s advanced fighter aircraft and UAVs, to large self-contained industrial power generation systems, rated at 2 megawatts or more. Calnetix has been a provider of high speed generators for micro gas turbines for over a decade for various OEMs.
