Calnetix Technologies’ Liping Zheng to Speak at International Power Electronics Conference Tonight

May 20th, 2014

Cerritos, Calif. – May 19, 2014 – Liping Zheng, Manager of Power Electronics for Calnetix Technologies, a pioneer in high-speed permanent magnetic motor generators, power electronics and magnetic bearings for a variety of applications and industries, will present at the International Power Electronics Conference (IPEC) in Hiroshima, Japan tonight.

His presentation, co-authored by Dong Le, Director of Technology, Power Electronics for Calnetix, is entitled “Control of a 750 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM).”

“Permanent magnet synchronous motors have been widely used due to their high performance and high efficiency,” said Zheng. “However, successfully implementing PMSM controllers that can operate such machinery remains a challenge when considering their sensorless, high-speed characteristics. This presentation will discuss applications that overcome these obstacles to take full advantage of this technology.”

The IPEC-Hiroshima 2014 provides a unique opportunity for researchers, engineers and academics from all over the world to present and exchange the latest information on power electronics, motor drives, and related subjects. More information is available at www.ipec2014.org.
