Cerritos, Calif. – January 27, 2014 – Liping Zheng, Manager, Power Electronics for Calnetix Technologies, a pioneer in high-speed permanent magnet motor generators, power electronics and magnetic bearings for a variety of applications and industries, will present at the “Motor & Drive Systems 2014” conference in Orlando, Fla., Thursday.
His presentation, co-authored by Dong Le, Director of Technology, Power Electronics for Calnetix, is entitled “Practical Methods for Reducing the Losses and Harmonics Distortion in Industrial Motor Drive Systems.”
“We’ll discuss an applied method for reducing the losses and harmonic distortion produced by the inverters and converters for industrial motor drive and motor applications,” said Le. “This is achieved by calculating or determining the effective minimum deadtime for the power switches in the drive. Application of these methods result in an industrial drive system that is smaller, more efficient and more reliable.”
Motor & Drive Systems 2014 is focused on the latest technical advancements impacting the design and integration of motor, drive systems and motion control for manufacturing, industrial, packaging and other applications. Conference topics will include improving motor efficiency and reliability, regulatory and safety issues, testing standards and programs, emerging and high growth applications, developing and pairing motor as well as drive systems and improving loss prediction and calculation.
